Shades of Emotion

This is a month-long sacred container to facilitate the understanding, processing, and releasing of dense energy related to suppressed emotions. There will be a discussion on understanding our different emotional states, how certain feeling states show up in the body, and releasing any stigma around feeling. We will work together to let go of the conditioning around certain emotional states that we may have picked up from the collective and any false narratives around being "too sensitive" or "too much". This work will be done alongside other like-hearted souls who will also support the container for individual and collective processing. This is a program to reclaim our sensitivity and embrace feeling as the gateway to remembering our humanity.

What can you expect?

  • Each week there will be a session where we will use deep self inquiry, journaling practice, and group sharing to discuss our relationship with different emotional states. We all have different conditioning around certain "Shades of Emotions" being "bad", "good", "too much", "right", "wrong" or "safe/unsafe". The point is to break this down individually but also normalize the open discussion of different feeling states in community with others. There is much to be learned from hearing others express their own process and speaking to your own. This session is a way of getting us used to speaking about and communicating what we're feeling and our relationship to feeling states as they arise.

    In the second weekly session, the primary practice that we will be doing is active breathwork. This is a somatic technique used to help release tension in the physical body related to repressed and stuck emotions. Breathwork is a tool used to deprogram the physical vessel of any conditioning that's still being held in the body. Feelings are the language of the body. Having a way to process residual emotional energy from the past and things that come up day to day is essential when working with/through emotions.

  • We will cover the four main shades of emotion: Anger, Sadness, Fear, and Happiness. For each shade we will discuss how it manifests in the physical body and personal associations we have with each emotion. We will break down any programming we have around each shade.

    (For example, based on what we witness growing up, we may perceive happiness to be a perfectly acceptable feeling to feel. While anger, for example, we might not give ourselves permission to fully feel based on witnessing it being "unsafe" or repressed in our family of origin.)

    There will be open discussion and a breathwork session to give permission to each Shade of Emotion.

  • This program is for anyone that wants to normalize that different feeling states are just part of what make us human and connect us to back to our own humanity. This will be useful for anyone that wants to break down the conditioning that may have been picked up from our upbringing/society/collective consciousness around certain feelings. This is a program that gives permission to feeling - with quite a bit of individual/group dialogue around how to articulate emotions. This is also a program that aims at offering the tools/support needed to actually process our emotions through the body.

  • This course maxes out at 10 people. It is intentionally intimate so we can go for depth and give the material the time and energy that the work deserves. It is important to have a small sacred and safe container when uprooting, clearing, and shedding.

  • The cost for the month-long program is $550.

    This includes 2 two hour sessions/week for the whole month of June as well as a workbook, created by Bree, that guides us through the month-long journey.
